Storytelling tips, Part 1

Ever tried mixing sliced tomatoes, champignons, red onions, olives, and grated cheese and heating up the mixture at 200°C? Bet you don’t find this very appetising. 😄

Now imagine that these ingredients are spread in orderly layers on top of a dough base and baked until the crust is golden, the cheese has melted, and the onion rings are very slightly singed on the edges. Mmm… who doesn’t like pizza?🍕

Here’s an additional thought: for your primary research publications, good storytelling is like adding a pizza base to the pizza toppings – it brings order and harmony and helps you transform an unpalatable mess into an appetizing sizzling work of culinary art.

Every author has their own ideas on storytelling, and every writer will do it slightly differently. It also gets easier with experience, as the writer gets exposed to a variety of studies and develops his/her own ‘winning formula’. 🌟
