Our commitment to the local community

When we founded Parse Medical, an important part of our vision was to make a beneficial contribution to our community and society as a whole.

Our business is in medical communications, meaning that through our work we can introduce positive change for many stakeholders: pharmaceutical companies, research organisations, academic institutions, charities, and most importantly patients. However, we also wanted to support a good cause in our local community. While most of our business is conducted online with clients based overseas, we are located in Uxbridge and strive to be mindful of the local community and make an active contribution to our neighbourhood.

In recent years, the UK has seen many changes adversely affecting art and culture. Government investment in education has shifted heavily towards STEM subjects, with many arts and humanities courses in higher education closing down. The cost-of-living crisis has forced local councils to cut spending on culture to maintain essential services. We also face an onslaught of AI applications that threaten the creative industries, making support for living artists and creators more important than ever.

Today, we are proud to announce our support of the Hillingdon Philharmonic Orchestra, a local amateur orchestra that has been enriching the lives of Hillingdon residents for 40 years. Our decision was driven by our deep belief that classical music, like all forms of art, should be affordable and accessible to everyone. The Hillingdon Philharmonic Orchestra performs 3–4 concerts a year at local venues and at reasonable prices, enabling local people with mobility issues or limited finances to enjoy live classical music. We have the deepest appreciation for what the Orchestra and its conductor Peter J Williams do for our local community, and we hope to continue supporting them in the years to come.
